AI automation agency for UK businesses

What an AI automation agency does

An AI automation agency builds software that does a piece of work in your business for you, sets it up inside the tools you already use, and keeps it running. The work is usually the repetitive kind that eats a member of staff's day: the same phone questions, the same emails, the same invoices typed into the same system.

What has changed in the last couple of years is that this software can now read, write and speak. An older automation follows a fixed recipe: when a form arrives, copy it into a spreadsheet. An AI agent can deal with the messy part in the middle, such as a customer who explains their problem in their own words, or an invoice laid out differently from the last one, and decide what to do with it inside rules you have set.

We are a small UK team that builds those agents for businesses. You tell us the job, we build an agent to do it, you see it working on your real work, and we keep it working from then on: we watch it, fix it when something changes and keep it up to date.

The agents we build

Any agent a business needs, not one product with your logo on it. These are the jobs we are asked about most, and the agents we have built so far each have a page of their own.

  • Receptionists and voice agents. An agent that answers your phone in your business's name, answers the questions callers ask all day, takes bookings and passes urgent calls to a person. Our AI receptionist is the one you can ring on this page.
  • Email assistants. An agent that reads incoming email, sorts it, drafts the replies your team would send and flags the ones a person needs to see.
  • Invoice processing and bookkeeping. An agent that reads supplier invoices and records them, following your own rules for how each one is coded.
  • Product documentation and knowledge bases. An agent that reads what your team actually shipped and rewrites the parts of your documentation that change made wrong, so what your docs say matches what the product does. Our AI product documentation agent does that for a software product every night.
  • Sales and lead qualification. An agent that replies to new enquiries quickly, asks the questions you would ask, and hands the promising ones to your sales team. Our recruitment agency lead generation agent starts a step earlier: it reads job ads to find the companies hiring for the roles a recruitment firm fills.
  • Customer service and appointment booking. An agent that answers customers' questions from what you have told it, and books them in when they are ready. Our AI recruitment chatbot answers job seekers' questions from a recruitment firm's own vacancy pages.

If the job you have in mind is not on that list, that is what the consultation is for. We will tell you plainly whether an agent can do it well, and if it cannot, we will say so rather than sell you one.

What one of our agents has done

Up to 29 October 2026, an AI bookkeeping agent we built recorded 14 supplier invoices for under 5p each, against about £2.54 for a bookkeeper doing the same work by hand, with the VAT worked out from rules written down for it in advance.

That is a small number of invoices, and we would rather show you a small true number than a big round one. The TripleDouble case study shows what it was given, the safeguards it works within and what it produced.

The other proof is the one you can test yourself. The receptionist on this page answers as Birchmoor Dental Practice, which is invented, and the AI receptionist for dentists page explains what it was built to do. Ring it, ask it something awkward, and judge us on what you hear.

How we build it, and how long it takes

A wooden beehive with bees

We build the agent around your real work, and you see it doing that work before it does the job on its own. You pick one person on your team to work with us day to day, so we have someone who knows the job and can tell us when the agent gets it wrong. Here is how it runs.

  1. A 30-minute consultation. You tell us the job, how it is done now, which tools it touches and where it goes wrong. We tell you what we would build and give you the price.
  2. Scope. We watch how the job is done today and agree what the agent will do: what it knows about your business and the rules it must follow.
  3. Build. We build it inside the tools you already use, connected where those tools allow it.
  4. Test. It runs on your real work, checked by us, until it gets it right, and we change whatever does not match how your business does things.
  5. Live. It does the job on its own, and we keep it working.

How much an agent can do inside your own software depends on what that software lets another program do; where it cannot write to it, the agent prepares the work for your team to finish. Fully functioning and delivering value in 30 days guaranteed, or you pay nothing more until your agents are.

What it costs

Agent Place charges one flat monthly fee for unlimited agents, month to month: nothing extra per call, minute or message. We give you the price on the call.

We do not price each build separately. The fee covers the first agent and every agent you add after it, so a second job in the business costs nothing more than the first, and a busy month costs the same as a quiet one. You can stop any month. Fully functioning and delivering value in 30 days guaranteed, or you pay nothing more until your agents are.

The pricing on our homepage works the same way for every business we build for.

An agency, a do-it-yourself tool, or a hire

There are three ways to get an AI agent into a business, and each suits a different business.

Tools such as Zapier and n8n let you build automations yourself. They are good, and if someone on your team enjoys that kind of work and has the time, they may be all you need. The cost that catches people out is not the subscription; it is the hours spent building, testing and fixing the automation every time a supplier changes a form or a tool changes how it works.

Hiring someone to build and run agents in-house makes sense once a business has enough of this work to fill a role. For most small businesses it does not yet.

An agency sits between the two: we do the building and the upkeep, and you pay for an agent that works rather than for the hours behind it. That is the trade we offer: one fee for every agent we build and keep working for you, month to month, so the second and third jobs you hand over cost no more than the first. If we think the do-it-yourself route would serve you better, we will tell you on the consultation.

Your data, and the tools an agent can reach

We handle your data under UK GDPR, and we walk you through exactly where it goes on the consultation. An agent can only reach the tools and data you approve, and you can withdraw that access at any time.

We also agree its limits with you before it does any real work: what it may say, what it must never do, and which situations it should hand to a person instead of dealing with itself. Those rules are written in before it goes live, and you can ask us to change them at any time.

Frequently asked questions

How much does an AI automation agency cost in the UK?

We charge one flat monthly fee for unlimited agents, month to month, with nothing extra per call, minute or message. We give you the price on the call.

How long does it take to build an AI agent?

Fully functioning and delivering value in 30 days guaranteed, or you pay nothing more until your agents are. How much it can do inside your own software depends on what that software lets another program do, which we check on the consultation.

What is the difference between an AI agent and an ordinary automation?

An ordinary automation follows a fixed recipe, step by step. An AI agent can read, write or speak, so it can deal with work that arrives in different shapes, such as a customer's own words or an unfamiliar invoice layout, and decide what to do inside the rules you have set.

Can I hear one working before I book anything?

Yes. Ring the receptionist on this page right now, from your own phone. Once we build yours, it runs on your real work, checked by us, until it gets it right.

Do you work with businesses outside London?

Yes. We work with businesses anywhere in the UK, London included, and the consultation and the build are done remotely, so where you are makes no difference to the price or to how we work.

Are you right for a small business?

That is who we built it for. One flat monthly fee for unlimited agents means a small business can start with one job and hand over the next without a second project or a second bill, and month to month means it is never tied in.

What do I need to provide?

One person on your team to work with us day to day, access to the tools the agent needs, and the rules you would give a new member of staff doing the same job. We do the rest.

What happens if it stops working later?

We fix it. Keeping it working is part of what the monthly fee covers: we watch the agent, fix it when something changes, such as a supplier's new invoice layout or a tool updating how it works, and keep it up to date.

Tell us the job you want done

Tell us which piece of work takes up your team's time and how it is done today. We will tell you on the call whether an agent can do it well, what we would build, and the price.

Unlimited agents. One flat monthly fee. Fully functioning and delivering value in 30 days guaranteed, or you pay nothing more until your agents are.
